Who would have thought that a taekwondo tournament could be set-up successfully in Boracay Beach? Monsour did. |

The event launched the new Peak Monsour line of Taekwondo uniform and equipments. Introduced were the new Peak Monsour Z dobok and the various lines of Peak Monsour taekwondo equipments. The 2day event saw Monsour facilitating a taekwondo morning clinic that attracted 200 children and adults learning taekwondo fundamentals for the first time. And there was an excellent taekwondo demonstration by
the Philippine National Taekwondo Demonstration Team followed by sparring and a forms
competition
in the
afternoon. |

With three gold medals out of a total haul of 4 at stake in both the grade school and high school divisions, Manila team romped off with the best result in the sparring competition. |
In the Poomse or forms competition, team Cagayan de Oro City with members Jehu Inciong, Endro Endrolin and Emi Mar Gayao won the first place in the team synchronized poomse with their winning Koryo 1st dan blackbelt form. 2nd place went to Bacolod city and 3rd place went to both Manila and Cebu City. |
The event was sponsored by Peak Martial Arts Equipments, Olympians Taekwondo Training Center, Pearl of the Pacific, Milo, Seair, Gatorade, San Mig Strong Ice, Yamaha, Rexona and Bobson. Project head was Joy Zapanta assisted by Louie Cruz. |

1ST MONSOUR BORACAY 
The first Monsour Del Rosario Boracay Taekwondo Challenge showed that it can be achieved and smashingly successful at that.
Four
champion blackbelt teams from Manila, Cebu City, Bacolod City
and Cagayan de Oro City were invited to take part in the tournament
which included a sparring and poomse categories.
Sports
Unlimited’s Dyan Castillejo and Marc Nelson covered the event
and a corp of venerable lifestyle writers all impressed by the success
of the event.
